I'm looking for the most cushiony, recoil absorbing pad available for a regular length A2 stock.  I can't seem to find much.
No, it's not for a 5.56!

I got mine from Midway, I use the John Masen with my M1A, the added length helps those of us with long arms !!!!

The only reason I clicked on your thread was to mess with a guy who thinks an AR (in 5.56) recoils too much.

What cal. is it?

Actually, a lot people get "recoil pads" not because of the recoil but because it helps the butt of the stock stick to your shoulder better.

yup!

I wish more mfrs. followed the SOPMOD "butt concept"
The intergated pad is a better design IMO

That limbsaver looks pretty good.  I wonder what size to get though?

You're not the only one. I have finally gotten my 20" target AR dialled in so it kicks no more than my 10/22 (well, maybe a smidge more).

 TaylorWSO,
I talked to Limbsaver at the last shot show and asked them if they had plans to tap into the AR market. They said they didn't have any products that fit an AR except the slip on version. Your pad looks more like the ready fit or grind to fit. Which is it ? Or did you customize a stk. pad ? Looks hot! I want one like that. They gave me a slip on pad to try, Which was nice of them but it weighs a ton, and has more non slip than you need (the 2" on the sides of the stock to hold it on). I've got  an AR in something other than .223 that I use it for, But its kind of a wash for now. 1. length of pull perfection for a full size scope W/O having to use a heavy forward mounting scope base. 2. non slip texture perfection, But the weight of the thing is a wash.

Added to increase LOP and or adj. pitch and  drop.
Morgan adj ground fit and painted, comes in aluminum finish, adj drop, pitch adj. and cast(with minor mods).
Can be fit to an A2 the same way as below.

An old Berretta shotgun pad.
