Go for the .308!!!
 DPMS mags are $30 to 40 bucks.Plus it will make a great hunting rifle (that is what I would use it for) Plus you have AR15s...why not get something different. Chris |

had to vote for the 308 cuz its on my list too.
my last trip to the store it was between the DPMS AP4 in 308 or the DPMS M4 in 6.8 I ended up getting the 6.8 and I love it, but I will still get the 308 some day. |

Get AP4 and send it to MSTN for a Noveseke barrel and a LaRue or Daniel Defense rail. Then swap out that non-milspec receiver extension for a nice LMT SOPMOD or VLTOR setup. Add some Troy sights, your optic of choice, KAC QD sling swivels, throw in a few mags, and you're good to go.

Get the AP4. Shoot the hell out of it. As a platform for building a quality precision rifle it is an excellent base to start from. George & crew at G.A. Precision build the most wicked AR10 I have ever seen. I purposely leave my wallet at home when I go in there so one wont follow me home.

In terms of 223's I have a RRA 16 incher, A KKF M17S and a SAM5R.
In 308 I have a 22 inch saiga and a 16 inch saiga. |
