Below is a picture of the feed ramps on my Colt 6721 (Tactical Carbine). It's an all Colt gun. Notice how the upper-receiver M4 feed ramp cuts do not line up with the barrel-extension feed ramp cuts. It looks like the barrel need to rotate slightly to get the ramps lined up. I took the barrel nut off and tried to rotate the barrel to get the ramps lined up but there is ZERO play in key-slot where barrel lines up with the receiver.

Would you Colt 6920 or Colt 6721 Owners (only Colt owners) post some pics of your feed ramps  so I can see if there is manufacturing tolerances where other guns don't line up perfectly? Many thanks!!!

How does it shoot?  If it shoots fine dont sweat it and blast away.  My 2 cents, your mileage may varry.

It looks perfectly fine!  DO NOT TRY to rotate the barrel you will screw up the key slot in the upper receiver and then you will never get a barrel to sit correct in that upper!  If it really bothers you call Colt or email a photo.  It looks ok to me.  Ill look at mine later and tell you, but this isnt an issue at this time.

I really would like to see some pictures of other Colt gun feed ramps so I can understand how common this is. Thanks!

I think my first 6721 was worse.

There is nothing wrong with your upper or extension.  The feedramps on each are manufactured separately and do not always line up perfectly.  This will not effect the function of your weapon.

+1

the feed ramps are larger on top, if that makes any sense.  If it were the other way around then it would be an issue.

Mine looks like that too, no problems whatsoever.  If I remember later when I am home I'll take a picture to make you feel better.
