I would like to get an A4gery. I currently own a Bushmaster 20" A2 and have gotten pretty good with the irons. For the A4gery, would it be worth it to buy a complete new rifle or just an Upper Reciever to save some money?

I would get the upper and use the $250 you saved on another lower towards the optic of your choice.

If your experience follows mine, you will buy/build the new upper first.  Then you buy a new lower because it's just not right to have an unattached upper in the safe.

Get both!
