All you have to do is call Colt Customer Service and tell them the serial number..they will tell you when it was made, free of charge, over the phone..
I do it all the time.. |

Mid '70s? Had them in Marine Corps in 77 if I remember right, though I remember some still had 3 prong. |

The birdcage FSs came out in the sixties on the A1. They close the bottom slots on the A2.
