how do I properly measure my barrel diameter? what tool should I use, tape measurer, ect? I want to order a new  railed gas block but do not know what size to get. The barrel I am working on is a heavy type 20 inch barrel. Thanks for any information in advance..................

A1 ("lightweight" or "pencil") contours use a .625 (5/8) seat, A2s use a .75 (3/4") seat and bulls use a couple variations on .8"

Many "Bull" barrels are also 0.930" diameter at the gas port area.
