Ahhhh, my $200.00 BATFE Check was posted to my account on 11/21/05!!!
My Colt LE6933 Commando should be home soon.... ....[fingers-crossed].... ....pray for me.... ....my first SBR, and 3rd AR. |
If the check was just cashed then the thats when the wait STARTS.....you got time.
It actually starts from the pending date. The good news is that it seems to be going quicker since the move. Dan |

Yep I know, but I am hoping for a quick two months [fingers-crossed]. My wait has been much longer than that. My dealer receieved the rifle about a month before the hurricane. I dragged ass getting stuff together, and then the hurricane came, and waisted another 2 months. My CLEO sign off only took two weeks (I heard all the bad rumors about no sign offs and going through some long as list of alternates), which suprised the hell out of me. Now I just have to wait on BATFE. Maybe there is light at the end of the tunnel. |

Bastard, just have to show it off again making us all jelous. |
2 weeks! damn that's long! Mine took 5 minutes and I live in a major metro area! |
I like where you ar egoign with the picture, but its almost like its missing something.....
Yea, paperwork But its on the way |

Kevin 1.) dont forget to put a disclaimer in your pistures that you are military before someone gives yous hit about the gear like they alway seem to before they know what you do. 2.) in the second pictures, WTF is up with that abomination of a light underneath that upper. |
Looks like Stick is trying to make some kind of statement with the background... What could he mean? BTW, What's the make on the forend? |
Dace,
The light is my ghetto version of the Gansta grip that Dinger has on his upper above. I was too cheap to pay for one - so I took partd from our CQ and built a handgrip into a SF 962MU light. The theory being laser at 12 and light at 6 are the best bets. |

I've been itchin' to get one of those 11.5" uppers.. I mean, this thread has made the itch worse. What's the best place to purchase one of these uppers? I checked gunbroker and wasn't sure if their prices (about $400) were the best prices.. Any help would be appreciated.
Gunbroker is generally the WORST place to buy anything.
Keep your eyes on the EE and the NFA EE Good deals come up all the time! In the past two weeks I snagged two 10" uppers for great deals. |
I never knew there were major metro areas in OR??? The CLEO does internal background checks before signing off to make sure the applicant is law abiding. Unfortunately, they don't do the background check themself, they send it to another department, maybe they just hold it for two weeks... ...who knows... ...at least they will sign off!!! |

Many larger departments have a local system as well as the state and federal system. Running you through the local system ensures a well rounded check is done.
Its not a big deal, don't sweat it. |
Checking for parking tickets and such? I've only had one ticket, and I think it was about 7 years ago for speeding. I think I paid it |
No, your speeding tickets are part of the state system. |
Oh, well holy crap what are they looking for?! Late movies at hastings? Library books overdue?
Here in Az the sherif now does a background check before signing off. The ATF gave the department a ton of flak after they sigend of on the form of a convicted felon. |
Yeah... I am betting that did not go over to well... |

I ended up making mine also. I just followed CyclicD's directions and it came out great. |

There is just no reason to hurt the rest of us like that..... |
