What model ACOG is used in the movie, you get to see a close up of it at the firdt of the movie.   Is it a mini-ACOG?

Does anyone know which mini-ACOG that the L.A. S.W.A.T. uses?

don't know if they use acogs. was in East L.A.'s vault almost 12 years ago, so i wouldn't know what they use now. but i saw no optics on any of the rifles. but it was beutiful sigh*!

other than that i hated the movie. they threw loaded rounds on the floor instead of empty brass at the beginning of the flick, and i didn't know claymores used sparkles like fireworks when they exploded

my .02 cents

SMGLEE, can you tell me what shoulder weapon and what type of red-dot/scope does the LAPD S.W.A.T. use? I know that they used at one time KIMBER  II 1911-A1 45ACP. But, I don't know if they use the Colt M4 or MP5.

I Dont really see any use for a magnified optic in SWAT style CQB, but then I have no idea what I'm talking about.

Mainly MP5 still..

Colt  CAR15 with standard barrel and iron sights. very low budget but it get the job done. before the kimber, thye made do with recovered 1911 from Colt or Springfields.

imagine, walking into LAPD Metro station in downteon LA, in the cage you see MP5 receivers almost in the white... some Armor has a bottle of flat black spray apint and he is painting the guns...  Those guys get by with a very low budget compare to some other local city SWAT but they remain one of the best operators in the country if not the world.

+1

gunfire sounds weak and unreal among other things--like the ''high-speed'' wall anchor

the only thing they got right were the kimbers

That's just what we needed, more Kimber marketing.

Ah it began as the Kimber Custom II, modified with night sights and 30 LPI checkering.  Soon the Kimber Custom TLE II was released, the same thing as a standard pistol.  Then the Kimber Custom II TLE/RL was born, same thing, but with a rail.  I'm not sure if they still use the TLE or the TLE/RL.

Sweetness.

Ever meet Larry Mudgett? He's one of my favorite instructors.

There are Mini-ACOG's in 1.5x, IIRC.
