Got a new extractor and spring as well as gas rings, ejector etc. Sold by DPMS all in one package for $15.99 at Cheaper Than Dirt.

Need to replace worn extractor on Bushmaster. Had second thoughts about using this stuff, worried if maybe quality not on par with Bushnaster or other popular AR manufacturer.

I guess I can put it in and see how long it lasts.

What say you all about DPMS parts?

Be safe,

Flyer

I've never owned anything else, but if it makes you feel better, my entire rifle is DPMS.

I hope it holds up for both our sakes.

For the last 5 years I have bought all of my parts from DPMS, Armalite, and J&T.  Good quality, excellent price.

I've built a few uppers and a couple of lowers using DPMS small parts.  I haven't had a problem, except for a tight fit on the front take down pin on a lower.  I wouldn't hesitate to using DPMS parts for future builds.

I use nothing but DPMS parts and major components, I would use nothing else.

Good to go in a sporting rifle, but stay away from DPMS for a SHTF carbine.
DPMS is one of the brands which surfaces too often in the troubleshooting
forum. An extractor is essential for function- so that is why, I would only
buy from those that know exactly how to heat treat each part and its dimensions
and have great QC  = Colt.

And if you don't want to pay Colt prices, Bushie isn't a bad substitute.

You guys who love DPMS parts, I guess you enjoy looking at tool marks on your small parts, out of spec bolt holdopens that  gouge the upper, shiny black trigger guards that don't match the color of the lower, etc, etc.

I do like their unnotched hammers, though.

SWAT magazine recommended DPMS parts to a reader who wrote asking for good parts(Sep 2005 p.6).  Notice they didn't sat Colt, Bushmaster, RRA, or anyone else.  They recommended DPMS.

you have no idea what you are talking about, no tool marks, no out of spec, all of my trigger guards and ones i've seen matched- you must be talking about RRA or Bushie right?
