What is the best barrel material for a Varmint barrel?

Stainless Steel?
Carbon/Moly Steel?
Chrome Lined Carbon/Moly?

I don't own a varmint rifle, but most of the ones I see are stainless.

My first choice would be stainless. Properly machined the bore will generally be smoother. It will resist erosion a bit better than chrome-moly. Second choice would be chrome-moly and last would be chrome lined.
