I have an A4gery it a bushie 20in 1/7 government barrel with M5RAS and TA31F. I can not think of any situation in which the A4gery would be any more usefull than a carbine with an aimpoint. Is the A4gery rifle better than an carbine in any situation.

The only reason I carry a carbine for duty use it because I clear buildings on a regular basis.

longer barrel (usually) means better accuracy at longer ranges.

bbl length has nothing to do with accuracy as noted above. Increased fragmentation range is about all you get. I dont' know though, I just like the feel of a full sized 20 in my hands...

Me too! But with lots of gear on, the M4 can be a little more easy to work with.

yes the 20"er has a place.

It is a bit awkward (if not embarrasing) when you build 5 of the exact same AR configuration.

It is necessary to mix it up a bit.

16, 16, 16, 16, 20, 16, 16...........(you get the BRD picture

)

i know that alot of people here do not seem to like the look, but one of my favorite setups is the 20" govt profile barrel with rail system, ACOG and a telescoping stock. It just feels right to me.

I'm working on one of those right now. Besides not being able to afford the rails yet, everything else is strangely nice about it. The lighter weight barrel up front gives you more of the carbine feel.
