For those who have put these two together, did everything line up as expected? Was the black/black color match reasonably decent?

They will work together. But the Colt is a gray green almost olive drab. The Rock is a flat black. But they will go bang when you want them. RR lower on a Colt upper.

The Colt 6520 upper I have on a RRA lower is a perfect fit. When scrutinized the black/black match is not exact but noticeable only when scrutinized within the right lighting conditions. Go for it.
