I noticed that my brother's LEO colt 16" has only two gas rings. Is this normal
 They don't fill the ring groove completely.His gun was short cycling and the round wouldn't chamber, 1/2" out. His dept. makes them carry their guns dry, and he uses a form of ultrasonic dry lube. I applied a proper amount of CLP and it ran properly, but I am still concerned about the gas rings. (M-4 RRA collapsible stock, buffer, and spring) Thanks in advance. |

All of mine are non-Colts with 3 rings. What do you kool-aid drinkers have on your bolts?

3 rings out of the box, McFarlands after the first 20 minutes it is home with me

i dont know about colt or what yall have but every one of my ar's have either three rings or mcfarlands on them

My '79 era SP1 had 3 rings and my'90 6601 has 3. So do the two CMT bolts in my other two AR's.
Your BIL needs another ring. |
