Did Colt ever make an A1-style SP1 with a teardrop forward assit on the upper and full-fence lower?  If so, would someone please post the year(s) of production and model number(s)?  Thanks!

I searched "All Boards" back three months and the Archives back to 2000 for the terms "SP1 Forward Assist" and did some Google searching without finding the answer.

UPDATE:  Looks like the FA was introduced on the Sporter II (R-6500)in 1985.  Did the 6500 have a full-fence lower?

Thanks.  That confirms what I read in another thread I started.  Someone said no semi-auto Colt's were made with A1 (fenced) lower forgings.  The "Colt Variants" page says the R6500 and other models used an "A1" lower receiver, but if you scroll down to the Definitions, it says:

"A1:            The original, non-reinforced, slab-sided lower receiver with the exposed magazine release button.  Easily recognizable by the smooth right side.  Usually accompanied by a straight pistol grip." (my boldface).
