.499-P (piston) actual designation is LW .499-P DMR as configured for a foriegn country.

LW 6.8 SPC - KP

10.3" barrel.

To clarify, the KP's are the 10.3" barreled piston guns, the C-P's are the 14.5 and 16" barreled carbines.

The .499 is impingement and no longer in production. The .499P is the current production piston version.

There is also a very high dollar carbine called the SRT which was also configured for a foriegn customer. 11.5" barrel, mid rail, magpul M93B, S&B short dot, Larue light, Larue scope mount, magpul miad, mag pul trigger guard, LW advanced combat bolt, LW stainless low pro gas block, GGG BUIS, troy front BUIS, Omni suppressor, Deiter forward grip, badger gen II tac latch. You can only imagine how much those badboys cost.

Absolutely. Driven by customer demand. I have 10 16" barrels I was using to determine market demand. If there is demand, we were going to go hog wild with them. I was going to use them as impingement uppers, but the 6.8 works so much better with the short stroke piston.

Now that we have ammo availability, there is no reason not to buy 6.8 other than ammo cost.

What's the barrel length on the .499 DMR. It looks to be a 16 inch barrel + 2 inches for the muzzle brake (18 inches total). Just curious..that sucker with a black KG koted barrel...

I likes it a lot but there's a few tweaks yet like the final QD suppressor arrangement. This is a development platform. The final result should be striking.

I agree. I told the Reverand in another post. Seeing a pic of YOUR gun and not being able to get it quickly must be torturous.
