Just bought an Olympia 16 inch carbine with A2 sites at a bargain price and was firing it at the range last night. I would like to be at least somewhat capable with these sites before I get into the more sophisticated optics. The manual speaks in terms of using this weapon at 300-500 yards . Is that possible with the iron sites in termsof any reasonable accuracy?  What kind of groupings would at least a proficient marksman expect at say 100 or  200 or even 300 yards with A2 sites?Thank-you for your 2 cents in advance.
