One million is BS. It is a function of throat erosion and the enlargement or lengthening of the chamber caused by excess heat. The fatser you shoot the faster it erodes. Shoot slow and it will last longer. Charles the Gunsmith.

20-30k depending on use, then I'd start checking on a semifrequent basis.

So the actual upper receiver minus barrel is really uneffected by that? Its the throat of the barrel only? |
