I've been told that these are just like the colts, or at least pretty close in size and feel. Anybody that can yay or nay that?

Dont know how close to Colt they are, but the the fit and feel is pretty good.

Cav Arms are good stuff. I have the DPMS glacier guards and really like them.

Cav Arms will melt if you like rapid fire mag dumps.

um, FALSE!
i was present for the infamous triple BETA dump thru a full auto Cav gun and the gas tube melted first.  the handguards could still be held by bare hands.

but one time i was bump firing so hard i shook some fillings out of my teeth......
