Can it be done successfully? I prefer the magwell grip over a VFG, but my thumb is in the way when i fire with dust cover closed. This can cause stove pipes since the dust cover doesn't fully open. Has any lefty had success with this grip? This isn't normally a problem since the dust cover is usually open before I fire, but my AR is my go-to gun and I don't want a stove pipe at the worst possible moment.

you could try lowering your grip a little more onto your magazine, might take some getting used to...
