Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - 6-position carbine buffer tubes longer than the 4/ 5 position tubes?

I did some reading, including the one on collapsing stocks, and didn't find a clear answer.  I did notice that the fully extended 6-pos stock had a 14 inch LOP vs. 13.2-13.3 in. LOP for the 4/5 position, but that was with different stock bodies.  

I have a Vltor carbine modstock on a 4 position tube with a thin rubber buttpad and it feels short even when fully extended with the pad.  Please advise.

The tube is a bit longer.
