whats the point to the two eotechs on yojimbos rig, in case one fails you have a back-up? thats hardcore ...............and expensive and heavy

That dissy is the shit...as far as looks. But does it really have a 20" gas system? I just don't see the point of a dissy unless it does. I like, don't get me wrong, but I think the G2 w/Z32 could be improved as well.
Besides my crtisisms...very nice rifle.

Not sure if this is allowed in this thread, but I'll explain. I actually view a 20" gas system on a 14.5/16" barrel to be a liability. The most important part of the Dissipator for me is the fact that more of the barrel is covered. After running a couple of mags through the barrel can get rather hot, and I hate dropping it down on the sling while wearing shorts and getting burned. That's also the reason I used a 14.5" barrel, so that less was poking out of the end. The rest of the parts/pieces just came from a desire to try out some of the more talked about gear and see what I liked. I also built this counterpoint with completely different parts just to see what works for me. |

I like the Dissy's increased sight radius. The Lumpy approved Dissy gets my vote out of these, although they are all nice! |

Seems like I'm the first, but I've gotta go with Getdowns M4A3. It has everything you need and nothing you don't. The epidemy of KISS.
I realy like the skull paint job, but I have to go with the M4A3. Great rifles!!! |

I'm a huge Dissy' fan, but the Larue and Magpul gear, plus the grey accents, I can't help but vote for IB's very nice Dissy'.

Wow. I didn't know my rifle was even nominated; yet I submitted my ideas for the rules for this thread last week. Thank you for nominating my KISS rifle.
One thing I found interesting is how of the three rifles with MagPuls, all of them are oriented the same way (opposite of how they come packaged). Cool. I find they work better that way, though I only bought a few of them to try. Adding the cord to the bottom of my magazines works just as well and is dirt cheap. |

The lines between form vs. function and art vs. tool often get blurred in the world of firearms. The two that got my attention were the skull rifle and the M4A3 and both are beautiful examples of each division, art/form and tool/function. Final answer for me: M4A3.

It was a hard choice but I have to go with the inburrito’s dissy.
2ND pick is Smithy’s Skull rig is cool but I feel it is a bit out of category in my mind. More of a show piece than a usable weapon IMO. Smithy probably takes it out all the time. However if it belonged to me that would not be the case. 3RD pick is Getdowns M4A3 clean and simple and to the point. 4TH is Yojimbo’s redundancy rig. Pull the second Eo and it might have been a different outcome. |

Well I think I'm gonna call it now since I just got home from work and want to eat. Seems that Smithy took it with 155 votes to Inburritos 139. Close match.
