I was wondering - how much accuracy does the gas port cost a barrel?  Would an AR barrel (or that of any other gas operated rifle) be inherently more accurate if there were no gas port?  If so, how much does the port decrease accuracy?

Not a biggie, just curious.

Unless some clod drilled it and did a poor job and left a burr, it should have minimal impact on accuracy.

So Model 1 Sales was trying to get better accuracy out of their un-drilled barrels

Just one, so far.  Maybe a clandestine experiment that got loose into the general public.
