Well you know I have to test every new product line we pick up and that means having to build a gun to test with. Bummer for me Anyways here is the latest.
The upper is built with a Noveske 10.5" 416 Grade 70 Stainless Steel barrel poly rifled in 1:7 twist, Noveske US made KFH flash hider, a LaRue Gasblock, LaRue 9.0 Rail, LMT M16 BCG, LMT front sight, LaRue rear BUIS and a Eotech on a LaRue QD Mount. The lower is a LMT/Lauer reg. SBR with a LMT trigger, LMT SOPMOD stock, Magpul trigger guard, KNS pin set for the hammer and trigger and a Tango Down pistol grip. The recoil buffer is an Endine. Groups with the Eotech are running around 1" at 100 and I will be testing it with a 2X10 Nightforce in the near future to see what she can really do. The Rifle Me playing Rambo with the rifle The Noveske 10.5" Barrel The Noveske KFH Flash Hider Man, the sacrifices I have to make to make sure you guys get all the best gear Denny LINKY TO NOVESKE STUFF IN THE EE |

Whats the big deal with these barrells? I've been hearing alot about them but haven't seen the big deal yet? |
Very Nice!
What does the whole rig weigh as depicted with a full 30 round mag? |
BOATS You may want to read up a little here. www.10-8forums.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=4311&an=0&page=4#4311]Noveske Barrels and KFH Denny |
Denny, do those barrels take a standard .750" gas block?
How much do they cost? |
The whole enchilada weights in just around 8 lbs. The 10.5's have a fairly heavy tapered contour to keep the muzzle down and handle heat.
Denny |
Thanks for the link Denny. I just started drooling. I think the wife is gonna be mad at me. |
Yep, .750 and pre-drilled to the set screws on a LaRue Gas Block. I have around 12 barrels and KFH's in stock and more on the way. $290 for the barrel shipped Priority Mail. Check the EE. Denny |
How would you rate that flashihder's effectiveness at reducing flash against a Vortex?
I think a Surefire-like strike bezel would be the bomb on these things.
One of these barrels was fired in excess of 10K rounds, a lot of it full auto and still held a 1" group. I consider that pretty good. I think it has to do with the polygonal rifling. I will have no hesitation to drop my upper on one of my M4's and blast away. John and I have a secret squirrel project going now also.........Stay tuned Denny |
I think I know what your squirell project is unless they are getting them from Noveske direct.
Denny-
Could you post a picture of that brake taken apart or whatever it's called when you pull that retaining wire off? How does that work and what does it do? Is it timed or something? I love the looks of the right side of that upper... What's on the right side of that brake in the "action" shot or is that just a mark? |
I know that the Krink directs the blast away from the shooter but what kind of sound levels will the shooter hear/feel. Is it good enough to get it down to handgun levels. Is it worth getting over a custom can in the 4" range????
Why, its a fire beathing pig of course! Great looking pics! |
At the bottom of the page. KRINK |
Yes Denny I am truly sorry you have to go through such hell testing products to help us your customers. You bastard Those friggin bbls are sweet. |
So could you put one of these together with a 11.5" instead of a 10.5"?
So Denny,
Have you got the Noveske Krink FH's in stock yet? I'd be interested in getting one really soon....I think you said in another thread they're going to run about $125, right? Do you do barrel shortening and permanent affixing of the Noveske at your business or should I send it to AR15barrels.com or ADCO for that? If I get my mess worked out with NICS, I'd like to go ahead and shorten up a stock Bushy 16" bbl to 13.6" and add the Krink permanently with a 12" rail system. Thanks, Sean |
Sure. The KFH is meant primarily for barrels 12" and under. It will be just as effective on a 11.5" barrel as it is on a 10.5". Denny |
Sean Yes we have the Noveske KFH's in stock. We do all our machine work in house, just as we have for over 20 years. We will be happy to make your mods to your barrel. We will even time it up so the logo is even right and left. Denny |
From the shooters point of view it will make your shorty sound/feel like a 20" barrel AR. This not a silencer. It WILL move all the concussive blast away from you down range. For guys shooting AR pistols the puppy is the answer. Even my gunsmiths low-budget son popped for one for his 7" AR pistol. Denny |
I'm hoping these will still be available in about 6 months. Gotta get my paperwork back from the ATF.
This is what I love about the M16/AR15 platform. The variations are endless and just limited to the imagiination. By applying proven parts in proven combinations about any weapon requirement that can be fulfilled by 5.56mm cartridge can be realized. More soilid innovative products arrive in the arena monthly and they continue to stretch the AR envolope in terms of comfort, reliablity, accuracy, flexibility etc., etc., etc. We get quite a few products in that do not make the cut. That is part of my job, to cull out the crap and only bring you guys stuff that works. Denny |
Denny,
Your site says, "Using the Krinkov flash hider helps generate back-pressure for reliable cycling on short guns." Do you know if the Krinkov will negatively affect the performance of a 13.6" bbl running a gas piston system like the POF or L-W? Thanks, Sean |
Sean I put one on my POF 14.5 gas upper and it ran 2 30 round mags on full auto without a hiccup and the rifle felt the same operationally. There was just no blast coming back at me. I have also run a suppressor test on the same POF upper with no ill effects. The uppers have ports in the gas piston system to vent excess gas and I did reverse the piston into the "silencer" position for both tests. Denny |
High praise coming from you Stickman, you take some of the best gun shots on the site The Camera is a Cannon Rebel SLR Digital. I haven't really explored all its capabilities yet. I do like the manual focus for Macro work. Denny |
Denny that is sweet, I need a SBR........speaking of which when will you be getting complete LMT marked lowers back in with the TD grips?
Milt |
Milt LMT is supposed to be shipping next week. Denny |
okay so your IM's are turned off and im the last idiot to figure it out...ha, ha.....check you e-mail.........next gun porn shot of you testing anything I expect to see that grey rag worn by Baltimores finest there.....................
Why wouldn't they be available in 6 months? Just curious, Sean |
I have no intention of dropping this line of barrels, in fact, I am adding more barrel lengths in the Noveske line as soon as they come in. Denny |
Very very nice. It definately is as impressive as u made it seem in our phone conversation on wednesday. ill be caling you on today on that build we discussed, and also did u get any cmc triggers in yet?
I have all the small pin CMC Triggers in stock except single stage flat. Denny |
OK. So can you tell us how you got the "non-indexing" Krink Flash Hider to index
nice and pretty on yours? Mine is "side whompuss" as we'd say in the south.... |
