I've built a couple AR's now and im ready to take them to the next level. One has a RRA single stage and my varminter has the RRA two stage trigger. I like the two stage, its pretty smooth and doesnt creep but the single on my m4gery is pretty bad. I went ahead and gave it the trigger job to lighten it up some but its still not what I want. If there's a comparison post can someone just point me in the right direction otherwise I'd like to hear everyones thoughts on the after market ones. JP looks pretty good, any suggestions or actual usage info would be great. Thanks.

Right now the most promising setup is the Chip McCormack.

I've had two RRAs go down at low round counts.

I'm checking the web now to see if I can find a price for one of them. Is the chip mckormick a two stage?

I believe that 1 or 2 stage variants are available.

Idon't know what broke in particular, I didn't personally swap them back out. One turned into a one stage with a long take up, and broke at maybe 8 ounces. First happened while sighting in a new optic. Bump firing from the bench was an immediate problem. The other one just got muchy and heavy. It still functioned OK, as in it fired, but I pulled it anyway. When the first one went out, the safety stopped working and the hammer dropped when the rifle was bumped. I wasn't taking chances.

They were installed by a retired USMC armorer.

I really like my Accuracy Speaks single stage.  Very crisp and very easy to install.

I have a JP single stage trigger and a CMC drop in single stage trigger.  Both trigger systems are very compairable.  Heres some things I've noticed between the two:

- The CMC has a little more over travel
- The JP trigger has a noticably lighter pull (IIRC the CMC and JP claim a 3-3.5lb pull weight)
- The CMC drop in is a breeze to install.  The JP took me a couple of hours to get it right.

I like both JP and CMC's trigger, but my next rifle build will have a CMC trigger mainly because of price and ease of install.

I like my cmc a lot also.....but if I could only have one....I think I'd still keep the Jewell.
