It is holly wood. There are no SBR M-4s at US embassies. There are however Colt SMGs.

I don't remember what setup they had, but I do remember thinking that it was wierd that they all had the dust covers closed and mags inserted. Maybe they closed them after they loaded them?

The ejection port cover should always be closed except when firing...

I heard from a guy that when the guys who played the Marines came up in their hollywood uniforms, the REAL Marines there were so disgusted with how trashy they loked that the Marines offered their OWN uniforms as a replacement just to make the actors look a little more like REAL DevilDogs. I also heard one of the guys in the movie is a Marine, but not sure which one. Could be all lies, but the story sounds good to me so i thought i'd share it.

Nope, the bolt opens the cover and it's down on the reciever before the brass even leaves the rifle. |

I caught that too... a flattop upper with no sights (or optics). Shit like that really ruins a movie. |

Yea, the door certainly opens whenever the bolt carrier moves back (charging, firing, etc.), but the opening is somewhat more gentle when the user pulls the charging handle as compared to the violent motion when the bolt carrier moves back from the rifle being fired.

It would be neat to see a high speed video of the BCG blow back opening the dust cover on a fired round.

At least one of the Marines did have a Dissipator, but not all of them.
