it's a simmons 1.5-5x pro diamond.  3 gun shooters have been raving about them and for the price you can't go wrong.

That's a nice looking Dissy and I'm glad to see more converts to the "cut down 20" crowd  I like the simpler rifles with tan furniture.

IMO, any other Dissy just doesn't cut it.  For those that want a superlight carbine upper, the chopped gov't profile barrel is one very overlooked option.  Including Bad's, I have done three to date, all chrome lined and two of them run like tops with all ammo.  Since Bad's is an identical clone to the other two, I expect it to run very well also.

In fact, just to stress mine a little, I ran them with crap Wolf ammo, an M16 BC and a 9mm buffer, just to get the maximum moving mass for the underpowered Wolf to push around.  Both ran like tops.  In my Dissergy, I ran through four mags in very short order, just to push it a little further.  I got yell at for breaking rule #8 - No sustained rapid fire except for supervised events.  But what the hell, I was the only person there.  These old assed people that run these ranges.................

Bad,

If it doesn't run, I'll do whatever I need to to help you get it to run.  Like I said, I have two identical ones running right now, one an EMCO barrel and the other a Colt barrel so you should be good to go.

It's not illuminated, i've read that this is the best version as it provides great FOV.  I need to take it out to the range to give you a honest opinion.

If you do, just for info, the gas ports on the three I did were at or near 0.100".  Many told me that 0.110" was the minimum, but I'm two for three at 0.100" with the third still unfired.  If Bad's runs, I am very confident that 0.100" is more than adequate for a build like this.

I run everything from Wolf 55gr to Mk262 Mod1 ammo through my Dissergy without issue.  All run, feed and extract nearly perfectly.  I say nearly, because I still consider myself in testing, but I have yet to have an issue with any ammo and multiple mags (20 or so).  I think I'm somewhere around 300-400 rounds through the Dissergy to date.

The other beauty thing about chopping a gov't profile barrel is that you can get a 1/7 Dissy barrel.  I haven't seen one of those offered on the market.

WOW

Those dissies are growing on me.

I like the coyote brown, but here in central Texas it would be a eye-sore. Not any desert-like colors here at all. I would have to go with all OD GREEN furniture for any real camo/covert cover.

Ok, I have a question.  What is so special about a dissipator rifle?  I just don't know how they differ from other versions of full-length AR-15's.  Thanks for the help.

All the benefits of the rifle length gas system (smoother gas system ops, longer sight radius) with carbine mobility.

Doesn't the Bushy Dissipator use a carbine length gas system?

Yes. They have a gas-block under the HGs and the FSB up front is a dummy gas block that is only there for the front site.

Bravo Bravo!!

Nice weapons BadSVT

That is a Remington 700??
I have not seen a Remington Bolt with that style of handle, hence the question.
By the ammo on the stock I am guessing a 308?
