I recently purchased a scanner and have been messing around with it a bit. One cool feature that comes with the photo editing software is the B & W conversion. I’ve always been a big fan of B & W photos since my days in High School Photography class.

There’s just something different about a pic in B & W, it’s hard to explain. B & W does seem to bring out more detail I think.

Here are a few pics I edited and converted.

Great photos.  I almost like the old stuff more than the new.  How did your 60 perform in Desert Storm?

It never fired a single shot in anger. But after the war when we had to use up all the ammo we carried, it performed like a champ.

I've heard the main drawback is the barrel change.  How hard is it, really?  Was yours made by Saco Defense or US Ordnance?

Oh, man I have no idea who made that 60, let alone remember how to swap out barrels........it’s been a while!  

And edited to add: I was aviation not infantry!
