7.62 x 39 pros:  uses existing lower, lots of inexpensive ammo available

AR-10 pros:  better ballistics, wider variety of ammo (bullet weights, match/surplus, etc) available

Depends on what you want to use it for I guess.  If you wanted a real accuracy package I would go with an AR-10.

.308 Uppers require a whole different lower.  You can't bolt an AR10 upper to an AR15 lower very easily.

You can buy 7.62x39 uppers for the AR15 lowers...

The 7.62x51 is too long for AR15 length actions.

Is this what you were getting at?  Or are we having a failure to communicate?

good point the 7.62*39 is only sold by wolf but cheap. steel cases with coating, thats a whole other topic.

yes that is why cost cant be a factor for the weapon.
