Have you even attempted to read some of the threads here and answer your own questions?

Well, if you can't read then I guess it's pointless for me to answer

Try giving us some more/any info on what you plan to do with the rifle. Also, try out the seach feature. There's a huge wealth of knowledge on the screen in front of you, it just takes a wee bit of initive to find out. Your questions have been answered a 1000x times over on this site already. That's why I asked if you bothered to look around before posting.

How much do you have to spend?

Do you want a very basic iron sights only weapon or a rifle you can build on?

Your question is very vague and I and many others could spend far too much time trying to enlighten you on whats already tacked at the top of the thread.

Main ?'s
How much to spend and what do you want to do with it i.e. range?

Is this for work or pleasure?

Under 2k for the rifle only. Want optics on top of the carry handle ,  range 600 meters max. Will have 14.5 barrel , basically a fun gun till the Zombies come.

Buy a Colt LE6920 for $1100 of the EE and go from there.

on Auction Arms,  there's a guy selling mil surplus M4 uppers for 450.  This doesn't come with handguard, charging  handle, or carry handle, but everything else. Upper,  M16 bolt/carrier and 14.5 barrel. Used,  but I've heard mixed reviews on condition.  Some are near new, some are pretty beat up. Click Here for a thread I made about it.

that upper is 225,  a barrel is 250 from Eagle firearms,  and a Colt bolt/carrier is about 170.  That Auction Arms thing is a good deal.

I don't want to buy the whole rifle reason I want to build it. So its the way I want it the first time.

Is the upper I want a M4A3. I have looked at all 49 pages. Maybe I missed it , but I didn't find the answer to either question's.

What Colt lower do I want?

if your trying to make a m4 clone then wouldnt the 6920 be the closest thing you could get?

there would only be slight changes if you want to upgrade.

maybe im not seeing it but the only things that would be replaced with a m4 clone would be

stock
handguards
pistol grip
carry handle

which could be sold to help finance the upgrades or kept as spares (which is what i would do)

think it would be much easier to just buy the complete rifle and go from there, especially if your wanting colt parts.

And barrel. I just want to build one. Seems like more fun than buying one.

If you really want all Colt it would financially be in your best interest to buy a complete factory gun instead of trying to piece one together. Just my .02

BTW, good luck finding a LE6921 lower

The Colt LE 6921 with 14.5" M4 barrel is a SBR.

If you buy a 6921 lower it is still a SBR and it will cost you $200 in fees and several months for the SBR paperwork.

The 14.5" M4 barrel could be converted to a legal length of more than 16" by permanently attaching a Phantom, long A2 or equivalent flash suppressor.

Been there done that, I built a Colt M16A2 clone with all Colt parts and it cost me about the same as a LE 6920. But I have no choice, they don't make a similar model of what I wanted.

Good luck.

good luck finding a LE6921 lower

Already found one

I know about the tax. Thought it would be easier to pay the tax on the lower when buying it. Thats the reason I don't want to buy the whole rifle want different stock, trigger  most of the parts so it would be like buying it twice. Going to get a AAC suppressor so the longer flash hider won't work. Maybe Ii picked a bad combination but I want it so bad.

Where if you don't mind me asking, I run a LE6921HB (w/Phantom 5c1)  upper on a LE6920 lower.

Since you're getting a SBR, you might as well think about getting a 11.5" barrel which is a favorite of can owners.

If you still want the 14.5 M4 barrel, just install a suppressor compatible flash hider.

Some pics would be nice when you get it all together.

OK its going to be a while piece at a time. No 11.5 barrel reason I picked this one out , I love the way it looks.
