You would be a god to shoot a 2" 3 shot group at 150 yards w/ M855. That rifle and ammo simply are not accurate enough for that performance and I am willing to bet the shooter is far less accurate than the rifle.

And I once hooked a bass that weighed 25 pounds...
Considering that M193 and M855 is 1.5 to 2 MOA ammo I find that a tad tough to swallow  Claiming to do it with irons is just icing on the cake. Unless this guys name is Gunny Carlos Hathcock I just can't see it

I guess anything is possible.
Hell. It's possible that I will get the urge one day to suspend a 100 pound weight from my balls with chicken wire.... but I find it highly unlikely.

Not unless his eyes are telelescopic sights.Whats that 1/2 an inch 10 shot group at 150 yds.I dont think hathcock could have done that.

BLASPHEMY!!!!! Carlos Hathcock could do anything!!! He could shoot a hair off a Horsefly's balls! You think Horsefly's don't have balls do you?!? That's because they are too small to see! As for the DPMS guy...Hell, when you're good you're good. LOL! If he can shoot that good, God bless him. If he wants to go around telling people he's that good? God bless him. Can you imagine talking to that guy when he was drunk?!?! Bust out the hip high rubber boots cause I have a feeling his stories would be DEEP. |

No guys you're being unrealistic. I could easily get 10 rounds into a 1/2 group at 150 yards. You just have to disregard the other 50-75 "flyers" on the target.
LOL I have shot some good groups with 55gn UMC and USA stuff with iron sights at 100 yards but I know enough that I can't do it all the time. The ammo can't and I can't. I have results more on the order of 1.5 to 3 inches generally with iron sights. Now throw some 69 sierras and then you have something. Tom

That sounds like BS. However, with a T168 6x scope I can definately put M193 into a 1" group at 100 yards.

Who am I to say whats true or not.....all I can say is I have perfect vision and its hard for me to pick out a regular target at 150 yds with irons.

I do not think I would believe that he can do that. If I was there and saw him do it then OK. However I think maybe a pare plate instead of a dime would be more realistic. Dime sized and 10shot I guess I would have to say " Excuse me sir but I do not believe you."

The fact that he cleaned the barrel after each shot makes it even MORE unbelievable. Once you break your cheekweld and take your firing hand off the grip, getting the same EXACT POA/POI is unlikely, especially at 150yds with IRONS, no less. I'm not saying breaking your weld makes you miss. You can still hold good groups this way, but NOT dime-sized holes.
