I'm going to buy a Bushmaster M4 AR-15 in a few days and I'm wondering how many magazines come with it.  I have no clue.  Thanks.

Mine was shipped with one 30 round mag. However, since Maryland doesn't allow the transfer of magazines with a capacity greater than 20 rounds, my dealer kept it and I got none.

Dealer deserves a shitstorm of bad karma...how 'bout sending the 30 to bushy for a 20...no wait 2-20s for your trouble.

I asked the dealer about that. He told me that they got the M4 from a distributor and not direct from Bushmaster (they don't usually stock AR's). Because of that, I could either buy the rifle with no mag or leave it be. I was also told that this rifle was the last of the brand new LEO marked versions that the distributor had in stock (a few months ago).

Why would the dealer deserve bad karma?  The dealer could not legally sell the rifle with the 30rd mag.

how much was the transfer?   sounds like he was pressuring you to make the sale, I'd ask to see the invoice.

No but he could simply send the mag to bushy not "keep it for himself"  without a mag he has a doorstop.

-extra bad karma for not stocking ARs regularly

Funny, all my Colts either came with 2 [TWO] 20s or 2 [TWO] thirties. Mostly 20s, my 9mm came with 2 32 rounders. Two ain't as lonely as one. And every 1911 I have bought from Colt came with 2 [TWO] mags also.

Dealer should have went out of his way to find a legally sellable mag..like a 20 rounder.
