Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Any problems with fluting stainless HBAR

I have a stainless HBAR contour barrel that I am thinking about fluting to shave a little weight and help with cooling.  I have had this done to chrome molly hbar barrels but have heard that you don't want to make stainless barrels too thin.  Are there any risks in fluting a stainless barrel  (or maybe even having it turned down a little)????

I've had mine fluted and coated, it is a fantastic shooting barrel.
