Old News....it is a DPMS .308 that has been Duracoated and marketed by Remington. It was at the 2005 SHOT SHOW.

Most of their Military Products Division as former SF guys. I've dealt with them a few times, and they have been very squared away. Remington seems to be listening to them to find out what ius actually used and needed in combat weapon systems.
I would rate this as a good thing, but I'll also point out that I have no direct experience in their AR15/ M16 market. ETA-IF they do nothing more than remarket DPMS with nothing else done, I'll be disappointed and bring it to their attention...... |

+1 correct. There has already been a write up in "combat weapons" on that rifle. Supposedly, certain military agencies requested the shell deflector and FA be incorporated into a single unit. |

Remington, eh well let's give it a couple months and see what stores and magazines say, (btw is no the best source of info

Remington would never allow something as terrifying as a DPMS 308 painted green to fall into the hands of civilians. Only our military and police can be trusted with such terrifying power. edit-Seriously , there's no way Remington will sell these to civilians N-O-W-A-Y!! |
