I just put an order in for one that is specifically made for the back. It's a 12 x 12 and will cover where I want rather than having to move the standard 4 x 12 gel packs back and forth. The nice thing about these is they last for 8 hrs. Not that I'd have it on my back for that long but I can keep it nearby for the entire night rather than getting up every 2 hrs for another one. It's a little pricier than I had hoped but well worth the money I think since this is something that I'll be getting some major use out of in the next few months.

I've talked to my SIL who is an RN and worked in ER for many years (15+) and she'd said that they've got an excellent rating. When I spoke to a friend of mine who worked in Critical Care as an RN she was familiar with them also. Judging from that, the brand is well known in the medical industry.

If anyone has used these I'm curious to hear your opinions on it.

Already have been seeing two specialists (one is a specialist and a back surgeon) since Jan of this year We're trying to avoid getting to the surgery route now. There's a thread here that gives a little bit of background on what's up and how this came all about.
