Hi

Im wondering about the accuracy of a Rock River Arms barrel. Does it even stand a chance in NRA HP?

Thanks

Which one?

The Stainless barrels are going to be very accurate and the chrome-moly barrels should still do about 1 MOA, if you do your part of course.

Im thinking the Varmint EOP.

Also debating weather a 24inch barrel is insane. Always was told the longer the more accurate, but a 223s range i dont know how to factor in here.

Thanks

I think the RRA EOP is guaranteed to shoot 3/4 MOA.

to 100yards, it says on the site.

Will it still give nice sized grouping farther down for match distances?

IM a rookie here, dont know if ranges are "proportional" or not.

Thanks

For the most part, it will stay close.

Chances are, it might expand to 1-1.5MOA at extreme ranges (i.e. 500-600yds or something like that) But that's still a small circle.

Rock River varmint barrels are actually air-gauged Wilson barrels if I remember correctly. They are very, very good for the money. I have a RRA 18" varmint upper with a stainless bull barrel (mine is a std 'A4' flattop though, rather than the EOP), and it's scary accurate

Mine hasn't had too much trigger time, but it is a hell of a lot of fun to shoot.

Like CJan said, my 18" RRA varmint is accurate as heck also.  My frind who shoots competition and a much better shot than me will shoot 1/2" with 69 grain Federal all day long with the rifle.

I can stay on with 1" groups without a problem and I am not a good shot.
