When the ban sunset last year, I came to y'all asking tons of questions about my first AR build. It seems like after each response, I was reminded that it didn't really matter, since it would end up multiplying into many more configurations anyway. I always laughed to myself at the obvious absurdity of owning more than one AR. After all, I am spending more than I can afford on my first rifle anyway--I could never dream of affording another one within the next five years at least. Well here it is, less than one year later (just after my 20th birthday), and I present to you my RRA NM 20" A2 build:

I was originally going to build a standard, govt. A2 to compliment my M4gery, but after competing in my first Highpower match, I decided to build the Nation Match instead. I was blown away--it is one sweet shooter. I was suprised to find out that it comes with M4 feed ramps and barrel extention:

Here are some pics of my original AR build (Bushy upper on RRA lower):

Nice M4gery. The NM sucks though. Send it to me and I will dispose of it for you Seriously though. I also got the M4 first and my next will probably be a CMP build as well. Well actually my first AR was a Bushy DCM that I sold about three years ago. Now I want another CMP type rifle.

From prone I got about 3" at 100 yards, but I'm new to the sport. Hopefully tomorrow I'll see what I can do from the bench.

I blame this on all of you!

Oh yeah? Well I blame my growing collection (and out of control spending habits) on YOU!!

Those are great looking rifles TopGunPilot! I'd be pretty psyched too if those were in my collection

Well done!

DR is right.  You will find  yourself having multiples of ARs.

There is no cure.

In 1990 I was at a gunstore looking at a Colt Match Target A-2 Stainless Steel HBAR with a price tag that said $2000.00 . Looked exactly like yours except no extended feed ramps. I was made the special onetime offer of "$1800.00 cash right now cause it's going to the gunshow this weekend and will be sold for at least $2300.00 there." I did not buy it and thanks to the good people of AR-15 dotcom, I do not regret my decision. Great looking rifle you have there. I gladly accept my tiny portion of blame. Theres lots of people here way more to blame than me.

another one gets the disease.

Nice work T-Gun!

To become proficient with that shooter will give you more satisfaction than a barrel of off-the-rack AR's.

You say "blame" like having AR's is a bad thing. Say "thanks".

Your right.  It's our fault.  I will be the better man, and step forward to take all of the blame personally.  Please pack it up, and ship it to my FFL, to get it out of your hands.  I can't sleep with all th guilt.

I COMPLETELY understand what you're saying. Thanks to the yahoos on this site I just ordered 2 stripped lowers, a lower parts kit, and stock to begin my first build and plans for my second. WTF!!

You guys should be ashamed of yourselves!! I hope you're happy!

great looking pair of fine weapons you have there....something about 20" stainless barrels on an A2 upper is just wonderful to the eye.......also love the M4 type that you did for your first AR.....whatever you do keep both of them(unless something very important, emergency, comes up and you have to sell them off), or you will regret ever getting rid of either of them.....i have been there before.....i have gotten rid of rifles after i thought i "got tired" of it and wanted something new.....now everytime i think about it i kick myself in the hind end......you have the best of both worlds, a tactical type carbine and a great tac driver......can't go wrong having both.....

A BIG +1 to a great looking pair of AR's!!!!!!!

congrats
