I understand you concern with using a certified company for application of firearms coatings. When you are spending this amount of money for a custom firearms finish you expect and deserve excellent results. I am not certified by Lauer to apply DuraCoat. The certification course consists of a 1 day, 8 hour certification course. Basically its a couple of hours of class room instruction, then you go out in their shop and refinish a couple of guns (not your own) for Lauer. While I would love to be listed on their website it just isnt cost effective advertising. Perhapse when we slow down this winter after hunting season, I'll drive up to Chippewa Falls take the course and visit with Steve & the guys.
If you are concerned about the quality of our work, send something small, I will refinish it and you can judge for yourself. I've done a couple of rifles for ar15.com members and some other AR accessories. Please check the feed back thread in the EE section. See what others say about our work.
I stand behind my work 100%. We are the only refinishing company that offers a lifetime warranty on our refinishing work, (if it flakes, rubs off, or peels - meaning it was not properly mixed or applied) send it back and I'll refinish it for free and refund your shipping expenses.
I have been in business 5 years locally and expanded the business on to the web last May. We are not a flash in the pan, I am here for the long haul. I will be the premier custom refinishing service in the country. This is one of the reasons why I quit doing smith work and now just do refinishing work.
