I am geting my 20" bushmaster barrel threaded and I am trying to decide which flash suppressor to buy, the A2 or the Phantom? I have only seen one 20" AR with the phantom in this thread www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=118&t=225599&page=1 I havent found any through search either. I dont notice much flash on my rifle now, which has the Y-comp brake, so I am looking for form over function.

Any pictures of Phantom equiped 20" rifles are greatly appreciated

The military rifles are 20" with the A2, so if it is alooks question, I would lean heavily that way.

from what I've read it seems as though it works better but I prefer the closed style, like the phantom or the A2 but my problem is that I like the phantom on the shorter barrels but I havent seen enough on the longer ones to decide if thats what I want or if I rather just stick to "mil-spec" like the A2

The phantom is not as neccesary with the 20" because the powder burns up more by the time it gets that far.

Yep, the A2 works fine on 20's.  It's when you get down into shorties when something like the phantom would be useful.  Plus, the phantom is longer than an A2 anyway.  But it's your rifle, if you dig that sort of thing, do what you gotta do.

The 20" rifle does fine with the A2.  No need for anything else.

A2 works fine on a 20". The phantom is a little long for a 20". IMO it would look a little goofy.

I use a Phantom on my 20.  I don't see why not to.  Works great.
