I dropped by Kurt's Kustom Firearms in Bushnell, FL today to have some work done on 2 of my AR's and an AK.  The quality and service was excellent and the price was very low.    If you have any serious AR work to be done, I would highly recommend Kurt.  Kurt showed me an example of his new gas piston upper that he will be offering for sale in the future.  It is similar to the Leitner-Wise system but will be less costly.

Yeah, I gotta add that Kurt is wicked talented with AR's. He thankfully removed the Mini Y Comp off my BM and added a Phantom. It made everyone so happy! It looked just like factory.

KKF is top shelf!

Many many years ago I had him take off an AK brake from a BM M4 barrel and install a custom longer A2 for legal length.  Very nice job.

+1 for KKF

I had Kurt cut down a barrel, reprofile, and reparkerize it.  Very good work.  Oh, also had him install a KKF A2 brake.

Kurt turned down my barrel and added one of his A2 muzzle brakes a while back. Excellent work, but it took like 10 weeks

I had Kurt put a Vortex FH on my Colt's 14.5" barrel and he pinned and welded it
perfectly.   I wish I had gone with his Longer A2 FH though, as it looks just like the USGI one, except for being longer, and it still would've brought my length out to 16.1"
The VORTEX is great for flash elimination, but it sounds like a tuning fork with every shot, at least to my ears... ;)  KKF is the best when it comes to AR's.   I'm glad to hear he's doing okay.
Stay Safe...

How is his turn around these days? Is he still taking 3-4 months for a barrel re profile?

Kurt is a great guy. I have purchased several items from him over the years. Everyone has been perfect.
