Sweet, Denny. I like how you preserved the address numbers. The inset black adds to the camo effect.

Why the M4 cuts on a barrel when you have the free float tube on?
I believe he's referring to the M4 cut feedramps..... |
Yeah, how'd you do that? |
My guess would be Magpul Ladders......that's how I'd do it. |

thats what it looks like to me. tagged to read endurance testing |

Denny, what is the length of the the barrel? I didn't see in your post. Is that a new kind of desert camo? I have never have seen red in desert camo before.
they are 16" and i think the lighting on the paint is making it look red but to me its a brown |
Not everything is going to the desert. My suspicion is DEA and the location is somewhere far south ouf our border, not to the east.
Yeah looks a bit dark too blend in in any environment other then a forest or jungle setting. |
Sweet... Did he happen to mention what he plans on using for optics?
Anybody know if DD is planing on coming out with a 13.2" rail? |
Why stop at 13.2"???? Why not just go for the whole barrel!!!! I say DD 15.0!!!! |
Red is much more prevalent in nature then most people realize. |
Nice Denny!
Please elaborate on the bolt "upgrade" (e.g., spring/ring...). |
SSSwwweeeetttt! |
Its a very nice suttle touch not painting in between the rails where you can see the numbers still.
I like it. |
Very Nice! I like the Camo
I would Love to have a complete upper built ( same specs as in picture )But with a Mike Rock Chrome lined barrel Maybe a Pac-Nor CM barrel would do ! |
Knowing the mission I would say optics would be whatever they want/need including thermal. Denny |
I always do that. I learned years ago you do not want paint build up on equipment or optic attachment points. Denny |
It is desert stone brown. Photoing this cammo is tough as it changes with the light. The upper is much lighter in color than it appears under artificial light. In sun light it is much lighter but I don't have an opportunity to photo it again as it is on its way to go to work. BTW the Wylde chamber functions fine in full auto mode. Denny |
The bolt has black chrome silicon extra strength ejector and extractor springs, black bumper, Jiga crane O ring.

Denny,
Whats with the Phantom FH if is going to Govt agencies? especially if they are even some what high speed most units want some type of suppressor capability... hmmmmm...who could it be.... TH |
That was part of the spec. I am not just teasing here. There isn't going to be an answer even if someone guesses correctly. Denny |
Thanks Doc Denny |
That can be easily arranged. Denny 816 809 9452 Mon-Fri 9am to 6pm |

Yea, I want one too!
The only problem is my wife knows how to shoot and would probably use it on me! LOL! Seriously, that's a very nice upper! I can't wait for the report! |
Denny, what lenght is that barrel and what does the complete upper weight?
very nice!
ball park price for those of us thinking about Christmas? |

The barrel is our 16" Recon. I didn't weigh this. Most of these uppers go around 4.5 to 5lbs with rail, sights, FH, Bolt and carrier and charging handle. Denny |
This upper is not typical due to the cost of the Colt M16 bolt carrier group. But with paint and everything this upper cost $1575. Generally uppers do not cost that much but with Troy front and rear buis, 13.2" LaRue rail, Colt BCG and a lot of paint work it got right up there. Best to call for a specific quote. I am not really comfortable with generalities. Denny |
looks like the one I built
www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=7&f=119&t=284053 I hope you copied me that would be a nice complement. |
sorry if this sounds wrong, i dont see much resemblance other than the 13.2 |
