Here is muddystick:

Muddystick is the first rifle I ever purchased at thes sweet age of 18. I got my first job just to save for her... the months it took seemed like years. She was purchased nuetered during the waning years of the AWB from a police officer who had her as his trunk gun. Over the three years I have owned her she has never skipped a beat in over 1400 rounds.

16inch patrolmans carbine equiped with ELCAN 3.4x optic, LMT m16 heavy bolt carrier, 9mm buffer (was doing it before it became popular baby!) polished stock trigger, an arms #40 BUIS, a VLTOR in olive drab, an ergo grip, and a surefire rail with tangodown covers. I updated the upper from an A2 to a flat top. Finished her up in Norrells moly resin and a coat of krylon on the barrel.
She shoots 1 MOA with winchester wally world value pack when I saw the bench results with the wallyworld value pack I was floored.

She fits like a glove and the only way I will part with her is when I die. She was one of the jewels that has left the bushmaster factory over the years and I am damn glad to have her.

The elcan is big and makes the weapon top heavy but the glass is awesome. It really does help you see more in a darker environment than what the un aided eye can see.

I finally got some decent photos and forgot about this thread. Well... here is my baby as she sits 600 miles away from me.

Sweet rifle.

Are you going to install a flash supressor?

Just looking at the ELCAN brings back memories of its heft lol.  Actually it's not too heavy, but its trash can looks and bulk do have some psychological impact

I do like the surefire rail. It was all I could scrounge up at the time.

I will send it to ADCO one day for threading... but right now the gun is 600 miles away from me.
