LE6920 internals?

Does anyone have a pic of the insides of a new LE6920? I wanna know if it has that sear block thingy. Also, does the LE 6920 have the goofy front takedown pin that looks like a screw, or is it like the ones on the M16 (I only want the lower and don't know what type of upper i want to get and wanna make sure it will be compatible.)

I want a NEW colt lower. What are my options other than the LE6920, if that's even an option considering what i'm looking for?

It doesn't have the big, bulky sear block that the blue label rifles are notorious for, but it does have an unmachined web at the rear of the receiver. It has the mil-spec small captive pivot pin.

Does it had standard fire control pins, or the goofy size pins?

Three Colt 6721's that illustrate the three different types of Colt Sear "blocks". These three rifles were produced over a 10 year span (1994-2004).

The current production Colt 6920 incorporates the "unmilled web" style block.

Thanks for the picts. What size trigger pins do the LE's have?
Do the new one have the larger pins as before?

Current production LE guns have large fire control pins.

how much bigger are these fire control pins? Are we talkin only colt makes these size pins? is it hard to find replacement pins if one breaks? What else on the rifle cannot be interchanged with other brand parts?

Thanks for the pics! Not exactly what I was hoping to see, but i can live with the way it looks. the middle pic is what i was wanting to avoid...

This will be my first and prolly only Colt. I just want it for the name. I've shot plenty in the USMC, and they seem like fine weapons, but nothing i haven't seen out of cheaper copies...

The two sizes are .155 and .170. Colt factory pins are easy to find and other manufacturers make them as well. Even Bushmaster carries the .170 pins. Every other part on the rifle is interchangeable.

All current production Colt lowers, both civvy and LE, use the web style block, large fire control parts, and small takedown pins.

They are big enough where nothing else off the shelf will fit, and while Bushie and Colt make the size, they are not anywhere as easy to pick up if you are at the range or stuck someone where and something goes down.

If this is a concern, keep a spare Lower Parts Kit in with your equipment. These pieces do not break or wear out often, but it doesn't mean they are immune from issues.

As far as other parts that don't interchange, the Fire Control Group is about it. Overall, its a very good weapon.

My 6920 has the normal, non-screwdriver style.

Kisara's 6920 must be a very early mfg. Every LE Carbine I have seen had the standard front pushpin.
