Does DCM free float tubes have the same advantage in accuracy gain over other types of free float tubes like PRI, DPMS, BADGER, etc? because it looks like the barrel only "floats" inside a small diameter tube, with possibility of barrel "touching" tube. Unlike with aftermarket free floats with 2 inches diameters.

Yes, they work the same.  The barrel cannot touch the tube, and the front sling swivel is attached to the  tube at the handguard retainer ring instead of the front sight base.  They are built this way to conform to the rules governing Service Rifle in CMP tournaments and service tournaments.   No advantage or disadvantage to either one.  Just depends on the game you are playing.

i think that you will find that most "tactical" ff tubes like daniels defense, yhm, larue etc. are far more stout than a dcm float tube. some of the dcm tubes are not made for the abuse a "working" rifle would be put through.

good luck
