Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Forearm rail system and light for M4

I've been looking into a light for  my M4gery and I need suggestions. I don't want/can't afford the surefire forearm with the light and switch built into the forearm.

I have seen how Kelly McCann mounts his to the forarm with hose clamps covered with intertube but this would be a pain everytime I removed the forearm to clean the weapon. For the same reason I don't want a forearm rail system that must be installed by a gunsmith.

What other choices do I have?

Get the Surefire M73 forearm.  Its VERY affordable for as good as it is.  

Grant at G&R Tactical has some great deals with his "working man weapon lights" packages that will serve you well when you're on a budget.
