I recently purchased some Break Free CLP for use on my new AR-15 but prior to this I was using some other gun oil and solvent. My question is, how do I 'get rid' (for lack of a better term) of the old cleaner so that I don't mix it with the CLP?

Thank you for your time.

Gun scrubber does a pretty good job of removing the old lube/cleaners.  I'd use that prior to switching over to CLP.

Shoot your weapon then use clp.

I think CLP is a piss poor solvent- I use Hoppes.

CLP is a better light lube than solvent- JMHO.
