My Carbon doesn't sprooiiinging. Not even with the tele stock, buffer and spring.

The Dreaded SPROING Noise!
You best option would be to send your rifle to me immediately in order to avoid any complications that might develop from this noise. |

Don't think of it as noise. Think of it as an empty magazine indicator. No sproing, no ammo.

Normal. A Tubbs silicon spring will lessen it some but its not going to dissappear. Don't grease the spring.

I appreciate the replies! I'm glad the noise is normal and I think I'll keep the rifle. It's the only modern rifle I own but I anticipate that it won't be my last. My next "newest" rifle dates to 1920 and then to the rest from 1910s to 1870s. Who would of thunk that I would finally join the 21st century?

I put a very small amount of Tetra Grease on my buffer spring. It makes no noise and the gratting sound is gone when charging. No negative effect on reliability.

beat me to it that's the first thing i noticed once i got used to the sproing - the fact that it's not there if the bolt gets held open.DAMN i love these rifles  still like my ol' AK, too, but it's seeing less "truck time"

Exactly! The sproing is Eugene Stoner's built in mag change indicator. It will soon become music to your ears The sound through a pair of Peltor Comtacs is a little funky, but I wouldn't change a thing!

Guys, I have heard this on a lot of ARs as well, but I have a carbine with a collapsible stock and a 20" A2 with a standard stock and buffer and neither makes the sproing noise, ever. They are both Bushys and both vunction 100%, so go figure. I hope there is nothing wrong with them, I do not grease the spring, i only use BF CLP on the spring and buffer.
