I already have a one point sling that i made using tubular webbing, but am also looking for a sling to use when i will be carrying my rifle for extended periods of time (hunting, walking throught the woods, etc.). what would ya'll suggest for this purpose? i would like something easily attachable/detattachable. i was thinking about the IDF sling sold by DSA, but don't really know what kind of sling to look for for this application. also, what method would you use to attach it? i have an M4 stock and railed HGs.

I use the specter CST 3 point and it is  very comfy with the wide matierial.  You can get it with an emergency release for quick removal.

yeah agreed, the specter sling is nice and comfy, and if you're going to be walking for a long time the climbers carry is perfect.

Have a look at this:

I've not actually touched one, but it looks pretty good to me.

3 point is definetly the way to go.

I want to get a specter soon...actually I want a 3 point for my A2 stock and a single point for my 6 position stock.
