Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - I am thinking about picking up a RRA Varmint A4 20"

I need a good varmint rifle and I think I want a RRA as they are so well respected here.  For $1000 it sounds like a pretty good deal.

My question is: RRA says it is a Wilson 1:8 barrel, is this a Wilson Combat barrel???  

I checked Wilson's sight and they list 1:9 twist not 1:8.  If it is indeed a Wilson Combat barrel , why are Wilson's Varmint style guns $700 more?
