Specifically, I'm going to be removing a front sight base from an LMT upper and installing a Larue low profile gas block in it's place.

I know the steps involved in removing the FSB.  What I'm unsure of is how to install the Larue piece.  Specifically:
1) How do I make sure that the gas block lines up with the gas port?
2) How do I make sure the gasblock is aligned vertically?
3) How do I keep the gasblock from shifting fore and aft on the barrel?

Thanks in advance.

Nope, there's how to make one, and some generic tips on installing one, but nothing detailed.  Unless I'm missing something.
