I bought the M900 since I was going to add a vertical foregrip anyway and figured I'd get it all at once. I also like the blue "entry" LED's it came with, something I don't think the 500 has.

i'm pretty happy with my m500.
i don't do vfgs or exposed wires, so my options are limited |

M900 or a 952.
The M500 has ZERO ventilation. |

The new M500's DO have LED "entry" lights. The ventilation isn't that bad for those of us with semi-auto. Federal and local law enforcement use them. I do find them quite heavy after installed. As Lumpy mentions, a 952 would probably be your best bet. It's lighter and less expensive. |
